Hospital websites built for the person having the worst night of their year.
Nobody browses a hospital site for fun. They arrive frightened, in a hurry, usually on a phone, often at an hour when nothing else is open. Everything we build for healthcare starts from that.
What a hospital website must get right
Most hospital websites in India are built like brochures — a welcome message from the director, a photograph of the building, a mission statement. They answer questions nobody asked while burying the four that everybody does.
1. The emergency number, on every screen
Not on a contact page. Not in the footer. Pinned at the top of every single screen, tappable, with the ambulance number next to it. One visitor in a hundred needs it desperately, and that visitor cannot be asked to navigate a menu.
2. Departments described the way patients speak
Somebody with a broken wrist searches for a bone doctor, not "orthopaedic trauma services". Somebody worried about their child searches for a child specialist, not "paediatric medicine". Write the department names the way patients say them, and put the clinical term second.
3. Doctors, with actual timings
Name, qualification, speciality, and — critically — the days and hours they sit. Half the phone calls a hospital reception fields are "is doctor sahib available today?". Publishing that answer frees up your staff and helps your patients at the same time.
4. Insurance and cashless, stated plainly
A family arriving to discover their policy isn't accepted is a bad experience nobody forgets. List the providers you're empanelled with. It takes one section and prevents a great deal of distress.
5. An appointment request that takes two taps
No portal. No account. No app. Name, number, preferred day, send — and it arrives on the WhatsApp your reception already watches all day. Complexity here does not look sophisticated, it just loses patients.
Hindi matters more than you think
For hospitals outside the big metros, a large share of patients search, read and decide in Hindi. An English-only site looks impressive in a management meeting and quietly fails half the people it was built for.
Build Hindi-first, with English one tap away. Not English with a translation bolted on the side.
That is exactly how Agarwal Nursing Home is built, and the decision shaped the typography, the line lengths and every button label on the site.
Speed is a clinical concern
Your visitor is on a mid-range Android, on mobile data, possibly in a moving car. A site that takes eight seconds to load has failed them. We keep hospital sites deliberately light — compressed images, no heavy frameworks, text rendering before the pictures arrive. Google rewards it too, but that is a side effect; the point is the person waiting.
Getting found in the first place
Most hospital enquiries start with "hospital near me" or "best hospital in [town]". Two things decide whether you appear: a properly configured Google Business Profile, and a website Google can actually read. We set up both — the profile is included in every package.
What it costs
- ₹12,000 + ₹1,000/month — a clinic or smaller hospital, around five pages. Like Vinayak Hospital.
- ₹55,000 + ₹7,000/month — a multi-department hospital with doctor profiles, health packages, insurance lists and bilingual content. Like Agarwal Nursing Home.
Full details on the pricing page. And as always, we build the site and show it to you working before any money is discussed.
Hospital website questions.
What should a hospital website include?
At minimum: a 24×7 emergency and ambulance number on every screen, departments in plain language, doctor profiles with timings, OPD hours, your cashless insurance list, and a two-tap appointment request. Everything else is secondary.
How much does a hospital website cost in India?
₹12,000 one-time plus ₹1,000 a month for a clinic or smaller hospital. ₹55,000 plus ₹7,000 a month for a multi-department hospital with doctor profiles, packages and bilingual content. The demo is free.
Can the website be in Hindi?
Yes — and for most Indian hospitals it should be. We build Hindi-first with English one tap away, exactly as we did for Agarwal Nursing Home.
Can patients book appointments online?
Yes, kept deliberately simple: name, number, preferred day, send — arriving on the WhatsApp your reception already watches. No portal, no login, no app to install.
Is a website worth it for a small clinic?
Usually yes — though at that size the Google Business Profile matters even more. When someone searches "clinic near me", Google shows a map with three results, and being one of them is what fills your OPD. Profile setup is included in every package, and the site is what makes the profile credible when they tap through.
See your hospital's site before you pay for it.
We'll build a real, working demo in 24 hours. Open it on your phone, show your board, then decide.
